How You Can Know God

1. Believe God is the creator of your life.
   "Neither is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself fives to all life and breath and all things;" Acts 17:25
   
   
2. Believe God is to be obeyed and has the right to punish those who disobey.
   "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness," Romans 1:18
   
   
3. Believe you have disobeyed God and deserve His punishment.
   "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God," Romans 3:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23
   
   
4. Believe there is nothing you can do to erase your sin and earn a place in heaven.
   "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23
   
   
5. Believe God, by sending His Son to the cross, has provided the way for your sin to be forgiven.
   "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him." Romans 5:8-9
   
   
6. With repentance and faith in your heart, call upon God to mercifully forgive you.
   "...how I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you publicly and from house to house, solemnly testifying to both Jews and Greeks of repentance toward God and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ." Acts 20:20-21 "for 'Whoever will call upon the name of the LORD will be saved." Romans 10:13
