Pastor John Manry serves as Senior Pastor of North Harford Baptist Church. He grew up in Howard County, Maryland, graduating from Glenelg High School in 1976. In 1985, he graduated from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, Tennessee and came to North Harford Baptist Church in January of 1986 as Associate Pastor. He served for three and a half years with Pastor Allen Jack Beck and, after his retirement, was called as Senior Pastor in November of 1989.
He and his wife, Jody, live in a parsonage a half mile from the church where they have raised five children. His passion in ministry is to glorify Christ by preaching the Bible clearly, helping individuals, families, and this community know the Lord and His will for their lives.
Associate Pastor of Discipleship
Pastor Matt came to faith in Jesus at the age of 24. He and his wife, Becky, were married in 2002 and now have four children: Gracie, Bella, Jordyn, and Matthias. God called him to pastoral ministry in 2005 and, by God's grace, he has been serving in that capacity in different ways and different places ever since. Pastor Matt completed his Bachelor's of Theology Harding University (2007), and his Masters of Divinity (2012) and PhD in Apologetics (2018) at Westminster Theological Seminary, Philadelphia. His passion and focus in ministry is based on 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, where the Apostle Paul explains that the gospel is "of first importance." Many other things are of importance, and some of great importance; but nothing but the gospel is of first importance. To be about the gospel is to be about God's glory.
Pastor Jeremiah has faithfully served in ministry for a number of years while also working outside the church. He leads our youth ministries on Friday nights and organizes retreats, outreach, and other events. His wife Penny homeschools their two children.
