Pastoral Internship to Youth and Young Adults

North Harford Baptist Church is offering a paid pastoral internship. We are looking for a man who is called to the ministry, has a burden to work with youth and young adults, lives in the North Harford County area in Maryland, and could give 20 hours a week in ministry. He would gain experience working alongside our Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor for Discipleship and be paid an hourly wage. Contact the church for more information.



This position will give ministry experience and training to a man called of God to the ministry.

Focus:

This is a part time position (20 hours) responsible to the pastor for planning, coordinating, administering, and evaluating assigned aspects of the church's ministry to youth (7th‑12th grade) and young adults.

The goal of these ministries is evangelism, conversion, obedience, and equipping for ministry.

Qualifications:

‑Scripturally qualified to hold the office of pastor (1 Timothy 3:1‑7; Titus 1:5‑9)

‑Sense of calling/burden to work with students and their families

‑Able to teach the Word of God effectively

‑Able to counsel both parents and youth from the Word of God

‑In line doctrinally with the Baptist Faith and Message, 2000

‑Some Bible College/Seminary and experience preferred

Responsibilities:

Weekly

-Lead and teach the Friday Night Youth Fellowship.

-Teach the Young Adult Sunday School class.

-Attend church regularly, including Sunday School and Wednesday night.

General

-Lead youth worker meetings.

-Plan and lead youth retreats.

-Coordinate youth/young adult mission work.

-Prepare and administer a youth/young adult budget.

-Help high school students stay active as they transition to young adult status.

-Communicate with and enlist the participation of parents.

-Assume additional responsibilities with youth, young adults, or the church as assigned by the pastors and as able.
