Posting for Part-time Music Leader
8 hours a week, $20/hr
Duties:
- We are prayerfully seeking a Christian man to lead a group of singers and musicians to create a rotation of various "teams" for morning and evening worship, teams that he will lead during worship, but is also able to lead music solo as needed
- Lead a regular – not necessarily weekly – practice for team building and development (flexible)
- Working in collaboration with the pastors, choose a mix of older and newer songs for each service.
- Working under the direction of the pastors, view the musical aspect of worship in service to the ministry of the Word and prayer, not an independent or autonomous ministry.
Requirements:
- Must be a mature baptized believer and is active in a local church
- Must be in genuine agreement with our Statement of Faith and church covenant, and become a member of the church
- Must have experience and skill in music and in leadership
- Must have the requisite Christian's maturity, character, and ability to collaborate as a public leader
- Must be able to attend our Sunday school hour (9:30-10:30am) as well as morning and evening Sunday worship (10:45am, 6:30pm).
