There is No Condemnation in Christ

Romans 8:1 is a great consolation to sinners who have trusted Jesus for forgiveness.

"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus" (Romans 8:1).

That means if you have a relationship with Jesus through faith, God has no anger toward you for your sin. There is no wrath for you. There is no judgement hanging over your head. There is no fear of punishment for your sins, shortcomings, slip-ups, flaws, and faults. 

Jesus erased all of that by dying on a cross in your place. He took your sins as His own. He took your guilt as His own. He took God's wrath against your sins as His own. He took the judgement and punishment that you and I deserved as His own (see 1 Peter 2:24). Any condemnation that would otherwise be ours is therefore erased in the eyes of God. 

This is the best news ever. Let it be a wellspring of comfort, joy, freedom, and assurance this week. In Christ, you have all you will ever need and more. You have the favor of God irreversibly bestowed upon you.
